Everyone from Millburn-Short Hills Homes Enjoys the South Mountain Reservation

May 1, 2017 by rbenjamin Leave a Comment

Go hiking near Millburn-Short Hills homes. One of the amazing natural resources near Millburn-Short Hills homes is the South Mountain Reservation. When my kids were little, our house backed up into the reservation. We have so many fond memories of hiking and exploring there. And of course, our dogs came along, too. Is there anything closer to true joy than kids and dogs frolicking together? We spent hours on the trails. The kids loved to explore and find rocks and sticks. Or else discovering the wildlife living in the forests and meadows. Even young toddlers can get in on hiking! There’s a very easy, paved trail around the Orange Reservoir. The 1.7-mile trail is paved, so it’s easy to take the littlest ones along in a stroller.

Millburn-Short Hills Real Estate Owners Get Active at the Recreation Complex

Hiking is not only a great workout for everyone in the family. It’s also a great way to soak up the peace of nature without having to drive a long way from residential Millburn-Short Hills real estate. So many studies are showing that being in nature is vital for kids’ development. It also helps grown-ups feel less stressed and more centered.

South Mountain Reservation has lots of other activities for everyone from Millburn-Short Hills homes to enjoy. The Recreation Complex is the location of the top-rated Turtle Back Zoo. Climb in the trees at the Treetop Adventure Course. Play a round at Safari Mini Golf. Or enjoy the reservoir on a paddleboat.

Plan a trip to South Mountain Reservation. You’ll be glad you did!
