It’s an exciting milestone in their lives – their bright future laid out in front of them – oh, don’t we wish we could do it all over again?! It’s so nice to hear about organizations who assist students in their college endeavors – and offer scholarships as a way of encouraging secondary education. There is an organization in Chatham NJ that does just that!
The Democratic Scholarship Committee of the Chathams (DSCC) has been awarding scholarships to graduating seniors from Chatham High School for the past 5 years. Each year, a student is chosen who participates in a 500 word essay on a topic relating to the democratic process. This year, United States Senator Robert Menendez will be in attendance at the fundraiser breakfast held at Charlie Browns to help raise funds for the scholarships. Show your support for college goers by attending the benefit! You just might find yourself reminiscing about those good ole college days!
