Understanding the nuances of pricing requires local knowledge that isn’t always available to buyers and sellers. This is particularly true in a location like Millburn-Short Hills, Chatham, and Summit. These properties are all unique and move a house one way or the other on the street and you’ve got a 5% variable. Comparing homes in these neighborhoods and understanding the tax structure from town to town requires an intimate knowledge of the area acquired over many years.
Trust Robin to Help You in Your Search For Homes in These Towns
Short Hills, Millburn, Chatham, Maplewood, Summit & Livingston
As a resident of Chatham and former resident of Short Hills for almost 30 years , I know what buyers desire when they move to our closely connected neighborhoods in New Jersey. Selling your home is a major decision that requires careful consideration and lots of support from a knowledgeable source. I will make sure you are supported throughout the entire process and that your home will be represented well. My goal is to get your home sold, at a price you like, in a short amount of time.
Robin specializes in the issues facing buyers in this constantly shifting market. She previews homes and can immediately assess how a particular home will meet a client’s needs, whether it is well-priced, and how to proceed with negotiations. Her extensive experience in real estate and deep familiarity with the area give her an expert perspective that is invaluable to her clients. She will provide clear, candid advice at every step of the way, as she guides her clients through the process of buying or selling a home.
Until very recently, real estate agents almost always represented the seller, not the buyer, in the real estate transaction. Even the real estate agent who drove a buyer from home to home was not working on his or her behalf. By law, the agent was required to work on the seller’s side – to get the highest price and the best terms for the seller. More than one million people in the United States are licensed to sell real estate. Of those licensees, fewer than 2% are Accredited Buyer Representatives (ABR). Robin received her ABR accreditation in 2006 and has gone on to become one of the top buyer’s agents in the area.

On a personal note
Having lived in the area for more than 30 years, my extensive knowledge of the community and its various neighborhoods definitely gives me an advantage, and makes me the perfect person to search for homes in these towns, especially Short Hills and Millburn. I’m intimately familiar with the local schools, having three children who attended Pingry, Kent Place, and the Millburn-Short Hills school system. I can advise on the various nuances of each neighborhood and know the joys of raising a family in this part of New Jersey. Whether you’re looking for the best place to find “junior tennis” or the right school for your “gifted child”, there isn’t much I don’t know or haven’t heard!
Over the last three decades in the Short Hills and Chatham areas, I’ve enthusiastically taken advantage of everything these communities have to offer. I’m a passionate foodie, loving dining out with friends and always eager to try the many new restaurants popping up in the area. I’m also an avid athlete, having competed on the tennis courts for many years. A great local hiking spot is the South Mountain Reservation. We may bump into eachother there! (with my new puppy Bailey) , a 2000 acre preserve stretching between Millburn and South Orange long known for its winding paths that we dog lovers all seem to find ourselves. A lifelong photography buff, I often bring my camera along on these excursions. Recently though, the object of my photographs have been my 2½ year old grandson Tanner and brand new granddaughter Sloane who live with their parents in downtown Manhattan. The ease of the commute into New York City continues to be a huge bonus for me. The proximity to Manhattan is wonderful… I see my friends, go to theatre, concerts and exhibits but driving down 78 and knowing in 25 minutes I’ll would be home, is the best!
